Investment strategies

The SBI-Sygnum-Azimut Digital Asset Opportunity Fund, which brings together the collective digital asset experience and networks of Sygnum, SBI and Azimut, aims to accelerate the growth of promising companies in this sector, while providing qualifying investors with unrivalled access to the fast-growing digital asset economy. Investment theses that we follow are:

Objective

The DAO Fund targets Seed to Series A projects that are actively building in the digital asset ecosystem. Average initial tickets are USD 500,000 – USD 3 million per company. It has a wide geographical focus, looking at deals across Europe, Southeast Asia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Australia. A broad set of sectors are targeted ranging from DeFi, Layer 2s, NFTs/Metaverse applications to Web3 infrastructure.

Risk/return profile

The fund aims to achieve significant returns through capital appreciation of its equity investments in early-stage technology companies. Due to the development speed of the digital asset space, exit timelines for blockchain companies are expected to be shorter than in traditional industries.

Risk mitigation measures are taken, such as clear investment boundaries and guidelines, multiple review processes and active support of the companies post-investment.
