Stephan Zimmermann is General Counsel at Sygnum. He has 12 years of experience in various positions and companies in the financial industry. Prior to his current position at Sygnum, he spent five years building a Swiss fintech start-up, as head of the legal and compliance department and as Deputy CEO.

Previously, he was Legal Counsel at two major Swiss banks, focusing on corporate and banking law and structured and syndicated finance, and he worked for a leading Swiss law firm. Stephan holds a Master of Law from the University of Lucerne and was admitted to the Zurich bar.
