Stephan joined Sygnum as Head of Legal. Stephan is a lawyer with over 10 years of experience as in-house counsel in the financial industry. Prior to Sygnum, he helped build a Swiss fintech start-up, headed the legal and compliance department for five years and acted as deputy CEO.

Previously, he was legal counsel for two major Swiss banks, focusing on corporate and banking law and structured and syndicated finance, and he worked for a top-tier Swiss law firm. Stephan holds a Master of Law degree from the University of Lucerne and was admitted to the bar in Zurich.
